Ed Laird
Chief Executive Officer

edMr. Edwin (Ed) Laird, the founder of AQC (in 1984) has over 30 years of experience as a paint chemist, coatings manufacturing, and environmental compliance expert. In addition to being the CEO of AQC since 1984, Mr. Laird, is also the founder and CEO of Laird Coatings Corporation (formerly Coatings Resource Corporation - founded in 1976) and was a founder/CEO of two other manufacturing/spray coatings companies, all of which are highly specialized custom coatings companies serving a variety of industrial clients including those in aerospace, automotive, and television secotrs.  He served as in serveral advisory positions to industry and government regulatory agencies in the formulation and assessment of environmental impacts from various solvent, paint, and coating formulations.  He also served on the South Coast Air Quality Management District's VOC RECLAIM Advisory Task Force in the early 1990's; formed Small Business Coalition in the mid 1990's and for several years represented their interests in the South Coast Air Qualit Management District's (SCAQMD's) regulatory system.  Mr. Laird is a technical and business resource person to not only AQC and its clients but also to several industries and government agencies in California.

Jeff Laird
President

jeffMr. Jeff Laird, a Business Management professional, has over 15 years of experience in company management.  He has been the president of AQC since 1998. In addition, he is also the president of Laird Coatings Croporation (formerly Coatings Resource Corporation), a custom coatings manufacturing company. Mr. Laird possesses excellent skills in corporate and financial management as well as software development.  He currently oversees and manages the company-wide operations of AQC.  He has been the main expert in-charge of continued development of VOC-CALC plus, AQC’s state-of-the-art VOC emissions compliance and recordkeeping software (whch was originally developed in 1992 and approved by SCAQMD), and advises the technical development and customer support divisions of the software on a regular basis.  He strongly encourages AQC staff to stay current with the regulations and technical skills related to environmental engineering and management, and supports enhancement of skills in technical and information technology areas to enable the company better serve the current and future needs of its clients.

D.S.R.K. Srinivas
Senior Environmental Engineer/Project Manager

dsrkMr. D.S.R.K. Srinivas has over 16 years of experience providing environmental services to manufacturing, power/energy, industrial, mining, water resources, and transportation sectors. He has excellent skills in stationary and mobile source air pollution control, and in providing permitting/compliance/reporting/EHS assistance for air, water, hazardous waste, emissions reduction/sustainability, quality control/auditing, and environmental management (including EH&S support). His extensive professional experience includes environmental services including permitting (Title I/IV/V, RECLAIM, NSR/PSD), emissions inventory/control technology (BACT/MACT/LAER), dispersion modeling (ISCST3/AERMOD/CALPUFF), air quality management, emissions inventory management including GHG emissions calculations and verification, environmental auditing, environmental impact assessment, source/stack testing, compliance management, emission trading, facility environmental recordkeeping/ reporting (semi-annual/annual/SARA Title III Form R/storm-water) for air/water/HAPs, environmental management systems, EH&S support, preparing applications/EMS/Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plans, pollution prevention and control assessments, etc, environmental due diligence studies including environmental site assessments (Phase I and Phase II assessments), environmental transaction screens, etc, industrial hygiene and safety studies including industrial hygiene exposure assessements, workplace safety/personal protection audits, and health risk assessment studies including asbestos and lead safety inspections. In addition, his experience includes design of air pollution control systems, design of water and wastewater treatment systems, NPDES/storm-water permitting, wastewater and stormwater sampling/analysis/reports, hazardous materials/waste handling supervision, noise monitoring/modeling, emissions reductions/credits/trading, and environmental/quality auditing (ISO 9001/14001). Mr. Srinivas also possesses excellent project management/training skills. He is well-versed with the federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations. In his current position, Mr. Srinivas is responsible for (a) managing projects, developing appropriate solutions to industrial environmental problems, conducting regulatory analysis, air quality modeling, permit processing, air emissions/wastewater/hazardous waste management, EH&S services, environmental/quality auditing, environmental/safety training, and providing assistance to industrial clients for achieving compliance in a cost-effective manner; (b) technical team management supporting/mentoring junior staff; and (c) new project/business development activities.
